Find percentage change between original and new number.
Get the value of X percent of a number.
A percentage expresses a number as a fraction of 100. The three most common calculations are:
Multiply the number by the percentage and divide by 100. For example, 15% of 200 is 200 × 15 ÷ 100 = 30. Use the 'What is X% of Y' card above.
Divide the part by the whole and multiply by 100. For example, 45 out of 60 is 45 ÷ 60 × 100 = 75%.
Subtract the original value from the new value, divide by the original, and multiply by 100. A result above zero is an increase; below zero is a decrease.
Find the percentage of the price, then subtract it. A 25% discount on $80 is 80 × 25 ÷ 100 = $20 off, giving a final price of $60.
